This was a HUGE heavy cake sculpted out of 7 cakes.

The recipients were 2 men who celebrated their 50th birthday together.

Both of them avid skiers, I decided to incorporate their hobby

and at the same time creating my version of an "over the hill" cake :o)

Hi Ilonka,
What a huge hit your cake was!  I treated it like a raw egg during the transport but it was sturdier than we thought.  It made it through the trip and the delivery into the Restaurant without a problem.  Tom and Allan loved it and we took many pictures.  Everybody talked about the cake all night long!  The guys said they couldn't cut it fast enough, everyone was lined up and anxious for a piece.
Thanks for helping us make our husbands' birthday celebration so special.  I wish you could have seen us at 1230 in the morning with all our closest friends left, eating up the remnants of the cake.  It was hysterical.
I'll gather up any dowels and trays and get them back to you.
Again thanks for being such a wonderful addition to any party Susan and I have given!  You make every party we give so special!
Debbie

This was a cake for an engagement party for 70 guests, the theme was spring flowers,

so I added pansies, since they were also on the invitation.

Unbelievable cake!  Not only was it absolutely beautiful (the bride's mother and father flew in for this party and she just gasped when she saw it!) it was also absolutely delicious.  People who hadn't had a piece of cake in years all had some.  We had NONE left and I caught one of our friends who was washing dishes, scraping off the frosting from the board to put in a little bowl to eat later....
Thank you for making our party so special with your amazing talent.  You are truly an artist (and an incredible baker also!)
I have all of your stuff in the back of my car so whenever you are available to pick it up, just let me know.
Thanks again!
Debbie

The theme of this birthday party was "Wine & World cup"

(...Germany hosted the Soccer World Cup in 2006 for those of you who are not soccer fans).

I went with the chocolate base cake so the soccer ball and wine basket would stand out more,

chocolate always looks more masculine for a man's birthday cake (that's just my opinion :o)

Just to let you know....the cake was a success.  Not only did my car smell like I was driving in a pot of chocolate (mmm...it smelled good) everyone wanted to know who made it.  So, you may get a few emails in the future.
Thanks again.
Tammy

This cake would need a little more explanation, but I will just say...

it was an special order from a man for his wife's birthday...

Had a great birthday.  My cake was a big hit at school and the gym.  We ate all but the boobs and collar/neck at school, which I brought to the gym.  It was perfectly timed with the grand opening of Hooters, so the fellas were pretty amazed :-)

Have a great day there,
Happy Birthday Girl Me

This was a cake for a 70th birthday, the "birthday boy" is a wine connoisseur.

The bottle was a miniature wine bottle about 6" tall.

Good morning,
The cake was a HUGE hit.  Many thought it was a table decoration- not a cake.  The carrot cake was delicious.   Many, many compliments!
