My baking started in my teenage days, when my Mom spoiled us with fresh german cakes,  which she baked at least once a week...

The cake decorating started (somewhat) for me on my daughter's first   birthday....I wanted to make her something special and created my own version of a Winnie the Pooh cake.... When I look at this "early creation" now, it's not really one of those cakes I would proudly display on my site ;o)

Years (of creations like that one) went by before cake decorating became a hobby for me... then went on to become a passion.. and finally.. an ADDICTION ! (any cake decorator will be able to relate to me...)

Fortunately I had the support from my husband, who didn't mind sweet colorful icing everywhere...the empty bed at night and the sleepy wife during the day..., and a dear friend who never got tired of my questions, and who constantly challenged me to try something new.

My husband still puts up with my sweet hobby and my kids continue to love it (especially "having to" taste test my cakes...)

Now I would like to share my work and ideas with you through this website.

I'm also currently working on my cake book which will feature lots of pictures of cakes to include close ups and how-to's, decorating tips & tricks and yummy recipes! 

My goal is to have it published by June 2009. Keep checking back for more info!
